Showcase presentations:

  • Session 1: Operations management in JSM: from first alert to post-incident review

Presented by Akash Mishra, Consultant, Systemology

  • Many Jira Service Management customers already pay for operations capabilities they have never switched on, including alerting, on-call schedules, major incident management and post-incident reviews. This session shows how to connect your monitoring tools to the service desk, so an outage reaches the right engineer before the first staff call. You will also see the new Rovo capabilities for operations, which find similar incidents and draft post-incident reviews. You will leave knowing what your plan includes and the first changes to make. Bring your infrastructure or on-call lead if you can.

  • You’ll learn: which operations capabilities your plan already includes, and the first changes to make so a single fault becomes one managed incident in place of a flood of tickets.

  • Session 2: Change enablement in JSM: risk-based approvals using Assets

Presented by Josh Mustac, Account Director, Systemology

  • Most change processes still send every change through the same approval path, whatever its risk. This session shows how Jira Service Management scores risk, approves standard changes automatically and saves your change advisory board (CAB) for the changes that need it. You will see how relationships in Assets show what a change could affect before anyone approves it, and how a clean CMDB lets Rovo summarise a change and its risk for reviewers.

  • You’ll learn: how to set up risk-based approvals that move low-risk changes faster and give your CAB and your auditors a clear record of what was assessed and why.

  • Session 3: Automation after 3 December: what to expect and what you can do

Presented by Cael Metcalfe, Senior Consultant, Systemology

  • From 3 December 2026, Atlassian bills Jira Service Management automation by the step. Every trigger, condition, action, branch and loop iteration counts against a monthly allowance shared across your organisation, including rules that fire and match nothing. Once you reach the allowance, you either pay for extra usage or your automations pause until the next month. Cael explains what the new model means for your service desk and where it works in your favour or against you. He then covers the practical steps that cut usage and keep every automation working, starting with finding your heaviest rules in Platform usage, moving filters into triggers and combining rules that share a trigger.

  • The session ends with the approach Systemology is building for high-volume environments. It is policy-driven automation, managed as change-controlled records in Assets and able to reach systems inside your network, so your service desk automation keeps running at a predictable cost. If your organisation runs automation at scale, come and talk to us on the day about becoming an early adopter.

  • You’ll learn: how to find your heaviest rules in Platform usage and cut their usage, by moving filters into triggers and combining rules that share a trigger, while keeping every automation working.

  •  Refreshments with Q&A.
Join us afterwards for refreshments and take the opportunity to ask questions about Atlassian products and uses to learn even more.
