Executive Insights Report: Strategies for Cloud and AI Transformation

Cloud and AI transformation is no longer an IT initiative, it is a board level growth strategy.

Atlassian’s 2025 Executive Insights Report: Strategies for Cloud and AI Transformation, developed in collaboration with AWS, confirms that cloud is now the default operating model and AI is a primary driver of migration decisions.

Five of seven core business functions have reached 72 percent or higher cloud adoption, with collaboration tools at 84 percent and IT service management at 80 percent. Even in uncertain markets, most organisations are maintaining or accelerating migration plans, reinforcing that cloud is now foundational infrastructure.

The payoff is measurable. Leaders report greater scalability (55 percent), improved reliability (39 percent), and stronger agility (36 percent). In addition, 82 percent have seen improved cross functional collaboration post migration, proving cloud drives enterprise wide performance gains.

AI now sits at the centre of cloud strategy, cited by 52 percent of executives, yet fragmented data and weak governance continue to limit ROI.

If your organisation is still debating cloud timing, you are already behind the curve.
